Avenue de Malakoff

The which occurred of Malakoff is a street of the 16th district of Paris on the basis of the Avenue Foch and arriving on the Boulevard of the Admiral-Bruix and the Avenue of the Large-Army. Its length is of 410 meters, and its width of 23,50 meters.

It bears this name since 1854. Previously, the avenue of Malakoff began Place of Trocadéro. In 1936, the part ranging between this place and the Avenue Foch was called Avenue Raymond-Poincaré.

The name of Malakoff comes from the name of a tower close to Sébastopol. The catch of this tower by Napoleon III allowed the catch of the town of Sébastopol during the Crimean War in 1855. In addition, Malakoff is a common department of the Hauts-de-Seine, in the area Île-de-France, in France.
