Avenida Rivadavia
The Avenida Rivadavia or Avenue Rivadavia is an important artery of the town of Buenos Aires in Argentine. She traverses all the city of is in west, dividing it into two almost equal parts.
Course
The avenue is born in Avenida Eduardo Madero, to Puerto Madero and extends over a length of more than 10 kilometers, towards the west initially, then towards the west-south-west, until its end in the Avenida General Paz, in the district of Liniers. In the east, it forms the northern side of the Plaza of Mayo, then parallel to continues the Avenida of Mayo (with 50 meters in the north of this one), and emerges like it in the Plaza del Congreso. It skirts the Palais of the Congress of the Argentinian Nation on its northern frontage, and continues straight towards the Plaza Miserere, which it skirts of the southern part. Then it continues towards the west, until the limit of the Federal District of Buenos Aires.
Name of the streets
A characteristic of this avenue, is that any artery which crosses it exchange of name. It is a strict rule, with only one exception: the Avenida 9 of julio.
Subway line has
During the major part of its course, the avenida Rivadavia is accompanied in underground by the line by subway, Ligne, and this since the Plaza del Congreso, until the terminus of this line at the station Primera Junta .
