Avenida Corrientes

The Avenida Corrientes is one of the main arteries of the town of Buenos Aires, capital of the Argentinian . It is closely related on the tango and the heart of Buenos Aires. Its name, like that of other parallel avenues Santa Fe , Córdoba and San Juan , pays homage has a province of the country, in this case the province of Corrientes.

The avenue is born in the avenida Eduardo Madero, on the level of the Luna Park of which it constitutes the southern edge, not far from the district of Puerto Madero, and extends on 69 or blocks of houses manzanas towards the west initially, then towards the North-West, until its end in the avenida Federico Lacroze and the station of the same name, in the district of Chacarita, after having crossed of is in west the districts of San Nicolás, Balvanera, Almagro, Villa Crespo and Chacarita.
