Avangard Omsk

HC Avangard Omsk (Ru: АвангардОмск) is a professional Russian club of Hockey.

History

Avangard (French retranslitteration of the word “avant-garde” transcribes in Russian), was founded in 1950 under the name of Spartak Omsk . Famous Aeroflot Omsk in 1962, then Rubber Omsk in 1967, Khimik Omsk in 1972 and Chinnik Omsk in 1974, the club took its current name in 1981.

The team belongs today to Roman Abramovitch and has as a logo a stylized sparrowhawk.

Cut of the champions

: 2005 against the Kärpät Oulu of Finland. The team gains the first edition of the new name of the competition
