Avan

Avan (in Armenian: Ավան) is one of the twelve districts of Erevan, capital of the Arménie.

Situation

Of a surface of 837 hectares, it located at the north-eastern end of the city. Its population is of 50.400 inhabitants.

Administration

Divided into two districts - districts of Avan and Avan Arech 1 and 2 - the district is controlled since 2005 by Taron Margarian (April 17th 1978 -) (in Armenian: ՏարոնՄարգարյան) .
