Avaceratops

The Avaceratops (" horned face of Ava") was small a Dinosaure Herbivore cératopsien of the late Crétacé. Initially regarded as a Monoclonius, it was classified among the subfamily of the Centrosaurinae by Peter Dodson et al. in 2004. Extremely resembling Triceratops , it is distinguished from this one only by its size, much less than that of his famous relative, and by the fact that the horns located at the top of its eyes were not as developed as those of the tricératops. He was discovered by two paleontologists amateurs, ED Sticks and its wife Ava Cole in 1981 in Montana (formation Judith River); the animal was named in the honor of the latter.
