Gilbert Pérol, ambassador of France, (1926-1996), were the son of Rene Pérol, born and died in Auzances, within a family which one follows the various branches - of Beaufret, Pérol, Beaufre, Chiroux, Matheron,… - since the 16th century in the various communes of Combraille. Gilbert Pérol was in particular chief of the press services of L Elysium of 1962 to 1967, general secretary then managing director D Air France of 1967 to 1982, ambassador in Tunisia (1982-1984) and in Japan (1984-1986), general secretary of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs (1986-1988), finally ambassador in Rome (1988-1992). Married to Huguette Pérol, writer, it had three wire (Jean-Philippe, Jerome and Hugues)
