Bicycle with Auxiliary Engine : the ancètre of the Auto-cycle S in France. Chapter 3 of the highway code:

  • Date of the decree: September 12th, 1925;
  • weight: not more than 30 kg;
  • speed: not more than 30 km/h;
  • rolled: not more than 100 cm;
  • not of registration;
  • obligatory pedals;
  • not need for driving license (as from 14 years).

Modification of June 1943: birth of the auto-cycle

  • rolled: not more than 50 cm.

Modification of 1962:

  • speed: not more than 50 km/h.
