Autrigons

The Autrigons or Spanish Autrigones in , were a tribe pre-Roman, in the Basque autonomous Communauté current in Alava and the north of the Castille, in the north of the Ibérienne peninsula of the Spain.

They were not mentioned by Strabon. Other Roman historians as Pomponius Mixed and Pline located them in the northern zone of Burgos. Pline Old the about the year 77 av. J.C quoted " between the ten cities of the autrigones Tricio (Autrigonum Tritium) and Virovesca (Briviesca) " like capital of Autrigones with the name of Virovesca .
Ptolémée located them between the rivers Asón and Nervión.
Its territory was limited with that of the Caristes and that of the Cantabres. One studies to know if they were related with the Cantabres, with the Celtes or Vascons.
