Automated Clearing House

Automated Clearing House (ACH) is the name of the protected system of transfer of the payments which connects between them all the American financial institutions .

The ACH operates as a centralized system of clearing house for all the transfers of the funds electronics (TFE) which take place on the national territory and like point among for the transborder payments. This system of payment initially was conceived to reduce the number of check paper and now manages the direct deposits, the invoicing, paiment of the taxes and other services. It made it possible to increase the effectiveness and the reduction of the time of transmission of the commercial transactions. The rules and the regulations are established under the direct aegis of the NACHA (the Association of the American payments electronic) as well as Federal fund of the United States. Actors as VISA uses ACH for the automated treatment of its payments. In 1998, the network treated some 5.34 billion of transactions with a full value of more than 16 trillion of dollars.
