Autographa gamma
The Autographa gamma is a Lépidoptère of the family of the Noctuidae .
Description
Adult, the Imago measurement 40 to 45 mm of scale. Their former wings are yellow brownish with, in the center, a white spot pointing out the shape of the Greek letter Gamma. The posterior wings brown clear, are smoked out on their circumference. They are able to fly very quickly.The caterpillar measurement same size that the adult, his head is small and yellowish. Its body is of clear green color with 6 longitudinal lines blanchâtres. It is provided with 2 pairs of abdominal false-legs and a pair of anal false-legs. It moves like the Arpenteuse S. the nymph, green in the beginning becomes black and the imago leaves there at the end of 10 to 15 days.
The Oeufs are flattened and greenish and are dissimulated under the generally adventist or cultivated sheets of plants.
Food
The caterpillar can consume more than 200 the different plants including one certain number of crop plants. They are particularly a threat for the Betterave S, the Potato, the Céréale S, the flax, the vegetable plants and even the seedlings of seedbed.
Behavior
The caterpillar as the butterfly are night. The Autographa adult gamma migrate is separately, in small groups, or swarms sometimes including/understanding several million individuals and course of the hundreds of kilometers. The years or the climate their is favorable, they produce two to three generations and consequently pullulate.
Distribution
They live in Europe until the Finland and the Iceland, in Asia and North Africa.
