The Sapindales are an order of plants Dicotylédone S.
In traditional classification of Cronquist (1981) it includes/understands 15 families:

Acéracée S (family of the maple)
- Akaniacée S
- Anacardiacée S (family of the mango or the Cashew nut)
- Bretschneideracée S
- Burséracée S
- Cnéoracée S
- Hippocastanacée S
- Julianacée S
- Méliacée S
- Mélianthacée S
- Rutacée S (family of the orange and others Citrus fruits S)
- Sapindaceous S
- Simaroubacée S
- Staphyléacée S
- Zygophyllacée S
In phylogenetic classification APG (1998) retains only the following families:

order Sapindales

N.B. " … " = optional family
In Classification APG II (2003) the district is modified a little bit:
- order Sapindales
- * '' family [[Peganaceae]
The classification suggested per August 2006 does not accept the optional families and the order includes/understands 9 families then.
The differences compared to traditional classification are less large than than it appears to with it. The family Anacardiaceae (APG II) includes/understands the plants of the family Julianiaceae . The family Kirkiaceae comes from the family Simaroubaceae (traditional). The family Rutaceae (APG II) includes/understands the plants of the family Cneoraceae . The family Sapindaceae (APG II) includes/understands the plants of the family Aceraceae and of the family Hippocastanaceae .
