Autodeterminación

The Sapindales are an order of plants Dicotylédone S.

In traditional classification of Cronquist (1981) it includes/understands 15 families:

  • Acéracée S (family of the maple)

  • Akaniacée S
  • Anacardiacée S (family of the mango or the Cashew nut)
  • Bretschneideracée S
  • Burséracée S
  • Cnéoracée S
  • Hippocastanacée S
  • Julianacée S
  • Méliacée S
  • Mélianthacée S
  • Rutacée S (family of the orange and others Citrus fruits S)
  • Sapindaceous S
  • Simaroubacée S
  • Staphyléacée S
  • Zygophyllacée S

In phylogenetic classification APG (1998) retains only the following families:

  • order Sapindales

* family Anacardiaceae
* family Biebersteiniaceae
* family Burseraceae
* family Kirkiaceae
* family Meliaceae
* family Nitrariaceae
* '' family [[Peganaceae] ]
* family Rutaceae
* family Sapindaceae
* family Simaroubaceae

N.B. " … " = optional family

In Classification APG II (2003) the district is modified a little bit:

  • order Sapindales
* family Anacardiaceae
* family Biebersteiniaceae
* family Burseraceae
* family Kirkiaceae
* family Meliaceae
* family Nitrariaceae
* '' family [[Peganaceae] ]
* '' family [[Tetradiclidaceae] ]
* family Rutaceae
* family Sapindaceae
* family Simaroubaceae

The classification suggested per August 2006 does not accept the optional families and the order includes/understands 9 families then.

The differences compared to traditional classification are less large than than it appears to with it. The family Anacardiaceae (APG II) includes/understands the plants of the family Julianiaceae . The family Kirkiaceae comes from the family Simaroubaceae (traditional). The family Rutaceae (APG II) includes/understands the plants of the family Cneoraceae . The family Sapindaceae (APG II) includes/understands the plants of the family Aceraceae and of the family Hippocastanaceae .
