2005: Autodesk launches AutoCAD 2006.Les financial results of Autodesk Inc. exceed the bar of the billion dollar for the first time, with a turnover of 1,234 billion dollar. Autodesk acquires of three software publishers: Compass, C-plan and especially Alias Systems Corporation (editors of the Maya software, direct competitor of 3D Studio max. Discreet division is renamed MED (Media and Entertainment Division).
2006: Autodesk launches AutoCAD 2007.

Organization

Autodesk is organized in two segments: the Design Solutions Group and division Autodesk Media and Entertainment. The Design Solutions Group (DSG) encompasse the fundamental competence of Autodesk in the technology of the applications of design, while MED offers solutions of multi-media and entertainment.
