Auto-ignition

The Auto-allumage indicates the Combustion mixture of a Moteur before this one is not ignited by the spark of the candle. This phenomenon generates enormous mechanical constraints being able to go until breaking the Piston, the Bielle, the Vilebrequin, the Cylinder head gasket…

The problem can have several origins:

  • use of a Turbocompressor. This one increases the temperature of the air which it compresses (thermodynamic work), making it more vulnerable to auto-ignition when it is mixed with the fuel. For stage with this problem, one uses an air-to-air exchanger which will cool the compressed air, downstream from the compressing stage of the Turbocompresseur, thanks to atmospheric fresh air.

  • use of a too hot Candle (weak thermal dissipation). It causes the Allumage mixture because its electrodes are excessively hot.
  • fuel.
  • a hot spot in the Driving block . If the Moteur is in overheating, that the conduits intended for the circulation of the Liquide of cooling are blocked or that the temperature of the pipes of admissions or the carburettor is particularly high, the risk of auto-ignition is increased.
