Austrian social service abroad
The Austrian Service abroad is a non-profit-making organization which at summer founded in 1998 by the doctor Andreas Maislinger. It makes it possible to replace the civil service in Austria by a 12 months service in a foreign country. This service abroad is possible since 1992. He also arrives of an initiative of Dr. Maislinger and has three different fields to offer: the social service , the Austrian Service in memory of the holocaust and service of peace.
The social service is used for the development social and economic of a country and can be carried out in several places. The Austrian service abroad is in co-operation with 32 organizations partners, which have together 69 stations (2004) in the field of the social service and thus counts like the greatest support of the Austrian service abroad in Austria. These organizations partners are located in 22 different States and 4 continents and have various functions and goals.
To these stations belong: projects with children of the street, projects of education and the village of children. Stations for the medicalisation of the old men and/or invalids, and helps it for the integration of the homosexual . Moreover there are also projects ecologists and/or for the development of the countries of the Tiers-monde.
