Austrian cultural forum

Located at the 17 Which occurred of Villars, in the 7th district of Paris, the Austrian cultural Forum of Paris was inaugurated in 1954.

Operation

Organization depend on the Austrian Ministry of the Foreign affairs, the Forum is currently directed by Christa Sauer.

Mission and activities

According to a provision of the Austrian Ministry for Foreign Affairs dated March 12th, 2001, the objectives of the cultural Forum are:

To gain friends and to exert influence
To have the cultural diversity of Austria and Europe
To generate an identity and to tighten bonds with the help of art and the culture
To reinforce the historical network of cultural institutions and partners
To draw the attention abroad on Austria
To acquire competence to define our own traditions and cultural and artistic designs

Its vocation is to make known the Austrian culture in France and to support the artistic and cultural exchange between France and Austria. From this point of view it organizes in all France, in collaboration with French institutions, conferences, conferences, reading-meetings, concerts, exposures etc the Austrian cultural Forum proposes with interested library, a media library, a service of information and a general documentation on various questions touching in Austria.
