Australian football in France

The Australian Football is a still confidential sport in France. This sport profits however diffusions televised on Canal+ at the end from the Années 1980. They are obviously Australian matches but these diffusions allow the emergence of the first French club Houquetot (Normandy) which becomes the Tasmania Montivilliers. This formation evolves/moves vis-a-vis foreign adversaries and face the Australia NS of Paris in 1998. Shortly after this meeting, the club is constrained with the abandonment, fault of players. The team of France takes part in the championship of Europe in 2005. Without any Australian player, the French finish eighth on ten.

The first match putting at the catches two teams made up exclusively of French players takes place the December 3rd 2005: Kangaroos of Strasbourg against Razorbacks de Senlis.

In 2007, the team of France takes part in its second championship of Europe and finishes in honourable a seventh place on twelve with an assessment of three victories and three defeats.
