Aurora is a city of the State of Colorado, with the the United States. It is the third most populated city of Colorado, with: 297235 inhabitants in 2005. It belongs to the agglomeration of Denver.

The town of Fletcher was founded in the plain in the east of Denver in 1891. It was famous Aurora in 1907 and remained a small community until after the Second world war. The urban expansion of Denver transformed Aurora into simple suburbs, which were characterized however by frantic rate from its growth, in particular in the years 1970 and 1980. For lack of a true center, Aurora preserves the characters of a suburban zone, but the importance of its population enabled him to be associated with Denver in official name with the agglomeration, which is called Denver-Aurora Metropolital Statistical Area .
