Auray

Auray is a Commune Frenchwoman, located in the Département of Morbihan and the area Brittany.

Its inhabitants name the Alréens and Alréennes , of the Breton name of the city, An Alre .

Geography

  • Auray is a commune fortment urbanized, framed by those of Crac' H in the south and the west, Brec' H in north, and Pluneret in the east.

History

Events

  • the Battle of Auray (September 29th 1364), last battles of the War of succession of Brittany.
  • In 1632, the sailors leave the wearing of Saint-Goustan to conquer the town of Port-Royal in Acadie under the eyes of the cardinal Richelieu.
