Aumetz
Aumetz is a common French located in the department of the the Moselle. The inhabitants are Aumessois.
Geography
Aumetz is located at the end Is plate of the Countries-High, at an altitude included/understood into 350 and more than 400 meters. The revêt commune since a few years maintaining a certain importance, because of proximity of the Luxembourg, located at 10 km from there. Thus, it is as from the years 1990 qu ' a massive flow and increasingly more important crosses border dailies to work passes to the daily newspaper by Aumetz. The small town is located on an axis impossible to circumvent for the thousands of frontier pressing towards the eldorado economic Luxemburgish, coming from Meuse and north meurthe-and-native of the Moselle region. Recently, a deviation was brought into service to dissolve the stoppers of the rush hours. But this presence of Luxembourg also had the appearance of a true rescue for the city. Disaster victim since almost about thirty year by successive closings of the mines of Fer (which then made breathe a whole area) and by a Sidérurgie which dies, Aumetz found a new chance thanks to the richissime Grand Duche du Luxembourg. For proof, the price of the rents in constant increase. Because today, for much the Lorraine ones, to come to live close to Luxembourg constitutes the high income and job security… Consequence, the installation of many trade (supermarkets…), a road grid which are reinforced and a city which succeeded in surviving the after-mine brilliantly. One will be able however to regret the not-reopening of the railway line Audun- Fontoy, which would offer a policy of public transport effective for Aumessois. Because with little bus, to connect the big cities which are Thionville and Metz often resembles a course of the combatant.
The by-pass Aumetz
The by-pass Aumetz (of type 2×1 ways to large gauge) was opened with circulation at the end of 2005. It occurs in the West in the prolongation of D906 to join D16 towards Audun-le-Tiche and the Luxembourg. Gyratory was built, between Crusnes and Aumetz, on D952. The deviation, which seems an good idea at 1st sight, had as an main objective to unchoke crossed of Aumetz, on section D906-D16. Section borrowed mainly by the thousands of crosses border dailies to work going each days to Luxembourg. Because Aumetz was an inevitable stage for the workers of north-meusiens and meurthe-and-native of the Moselle region, to pass the border. The crossroads enters D906 and involving D952 of fort ralentissents at the rush hours. However, with more passing, one can wonder about the real utility of this deviation, when it is known that a project of highway bar, connecting A30 Luxembourg Frenchwoman to A4, should be born from here 2010-2015. Indeed, this bar would become the new axis impossible to circumvent then to go to Luxembourg, making the by-pass Aumetz obsolete.
