Aume

The Aume is an affluent of the Charente.

It takes its source with Bouin (Two-Sevres), near the Watershed of the basins of Charente and the Loire. It is made of two marshy rivers: Aume and the Seam. Aume has as affluents Saveille and Siame on its Right Bank, the Seam enlarged of Naudin on its left bank. the Father, or river of the Seam or Gours. It joined Charente with Ambérac.

The Seam passes to Gours (gaue, gauille, gours for mud in patois) and Aume passes to Aigre

There are several old names and orthographies: Osme but also Houme in 1883, and also river of Bouin
