Aum Shinrikyo
Aum Shinrikyo or supreme Truth of Aum (オウム真理教, Ōmu shinrikyō ), is the name of a terrorist Secte which was mainly established with the Japan and in Russia. This group is particularly known for its attack with the gas Sarin in a crammed oar of the Métro of Tōkyō in 1995 which caused twelve dead and cinq-mille-cinq-cents wounded.
The sect was created in 1984 by Shōkō Asahara. Aum or Om̐ is a word Sanskrit meaning “to be able of destruction and creation of the universe”, and shinrikyō means “teaching of the supreme truth”. It is a sect of inspiration Buddhist hindouist and .
The organization took the name of Aleph (first Hebrew letter of the alphabet) in 1999 and admitted its implication in the attacks with the gas sarin for which it presented its excuses.
It would currently count mille-six-cents members and twenty-eight establishments and is actively supervised by the Japanese security forces.
History
In January 2000, the group was placed under monitoring for one three years period.
In January 2003, Kōanchō (Agency of investigation of public safety), government agency of information, obtained the authorization to continue its monitoring for new a three years duration According to a report/ratio of April 2004, the Japanese government considers that the Aum sect is still “a threat for the company”.
In January 2006, Kōanchō received the authorization to continue its monitoring for three years again.
March 15th, 2006, the high court of Tōkyō confirmed the sentence of capital punishment for Tomomitsu Niimi, figure central of the sect which had brought the gas sarin in the subway. Thirteen other former members of the Aum sect were condemned to death, but none was hung, since the legal process continuous. Only Kazuaki Okazaki lost its last call before its execution. In February, the high court of Tōkyō recognized that Asahara was mentally able to make its request for call.
Terrorist activities

November 4th, 1989. Removal and assassination of a lawyer, Tsutsumi Sakamoto, and of its family (wife and baby fourteen month old). The lawyer represented a group of families which had carried felt sorry for against the sect.

- March 30th, 1995. The chief of the Japanese police force is seriously wounded of four balls.
