Aulerques
The Aulerques - Latin Aulerci - is a Gallic people, established between the the Loire and the left bank of the the Seine.
It is probable that the name of Aulerci is resulting from the composition of a prefix with the indicating the distance and attested in the majority of the Indo-European languages, followed by a term lerco- which it remains to determine precisely.
These people subdivided themselves between:
- the Aulerci Uranatevices , established in the Lyons , along the Loire (old the Briennais), with for chief town Ariolica (Aurilly),
- the Aulerques Cénomans, in the Lyons one 3rd, in the east (about the Eastern Maine), with for chief town Suindinum or Cenomani (Mans),
- the Aulerques Diablintes, between the Give again in the west and Cénomans in the east (about Western Maine), with for chief town Noviodunum or Diablintes (Jublains ),
- the Aulerques Éburovices, in the Lyons one 2nd, between the Véliocasses in the east and the Lexovii with the oust (that is to say the old diocese of Évreux), with for chief town Mediolanum or Eburovices (Évreux),
