Augustin Avrial

Augustin Avrial was born with Revel (Haute-Garonne) in 1840 and died in Fécamp (Seine-Lower, today Seine-Maritime) in 1904. It is a personality of the Commune of Paris.

Member of the minority it votes against the creation of the Comité of public Hello. During the bloody Semaine it organizes the defense of the district of Castle-D-Water (currently the Republic). He can take refuge in London. From 1874 to 1876, it directs a factory of mechanical engineering, which it founded with François Jourde and Camille Langevin, in Alsace (then German). But it is expelled in 1876 and of takes refuge in Switzerland.

After the amnesty of 1880, it returns to France, becomes controller of the material to the company of the State railways (1880-1882). In parallel it undertakes an activity of inventor (in particular a motor bicycle with oil). It adheres with the republican socialist Alliance then with the Parti working Socialist revolutionary Jean Allemane
