Auguste de Morlhon
Joseph Auguste Victorin De Morlhon (born the December 18th 1799 ( 27 Frimaire year VIII ) with Villefranche-with-Panat - died the October 6th 1862 with Rosières) was a French monk of the 19th century
Doctor of Divinity, canon and general vicar of Auch, it was introduced like bishop of Montpellier, then recommended the December 5th 1846 bishop of the Puy-en-Velay, promulgated with the consistory of the April 12th 1847, it was crowned the May 30th 1847 per monseigneur Nicolas of the Cross of Azolette (archbishop of Auch) in the Cathédrale of Auch.
After having made set up the statue of the Virgin on the rock Crow, it is named knight of the Légion of honor, count Roman and attending the papal throne. Died in pastoral round the October 6th 1862 with Rosières, it is buried in the Saint-Georges church of the great seminar of (Puy-en-Velay).
The grateful city of Puy honoured it by erection with a statue the representative requesting with the foot with the Virgin.
Its biography was written by CH. Calamard de Lafayette and published in Puy in 1863.
