Auguste de Leuchtenberg
Auguste Charles Eugene Napoleon (December 9th 1810 - March 28th 1835), duke of Leuchtenberg, duke of Santa Cruz and Prince Consort of Portugal.
Biography
Auguste de Beauharnais was born the December 9th 1810 with Milan. His/her father, the Viceroy of Italy, was the son of fire the Vicomte of Beauharnais and old the Impératrice of the French. His/her mother, the Vice-reine of Italy, was the girl of the King de Bavière and fire the Duchesse of Palatinat-Birkenfeld.The November 14th 1817, the King de Bavière granted to the father of Auguste the dignity of Duke of Leuchtenberg and Prince d' Eichstätt with the name of Royal Highness for him and Sérénissime Highness for her children, of which Auguste.
He married by procuration on February 1st 1834, with Munich, Marie II, Reine of Portugal. He then becomes Prince de Portugal and then receives the title of Duke of Santa Cruz. The true ceremony takes place the January 26th 1835 with Lisbon.
He dies hardly two months after the wedding, the March 28th 1835 with Lisbon.
