Auguste III of Poland

Auguste III of Saxony (October 17th 1696 with Dresden - October 5th 1763 in Dresden) is a king de Pologne of German origin, wire of Auguste II the Fort, voter of Saxony and king of Poland, and Eberhardine de Brandebourg-Bayreuth. King de Pologne and Large-Duke of Lithuania, Voter of Saxony (Frederic II of Saxony), Count Palatine of Saxony and margrave of Misnie.

Marriage and descent

It Marie in 1719 with Marie-Josèphe of Austria, girl of the emperor Joseph Ier.

From this union will be born:

With died his/her father in 1733, it inherits the Saxony and is elected king de Pologne, in competition with Stanislas I {{er}} Leszczynski.

It passed, according to certain rumors, all its spare time to play and drink beer. One of his/her daughters, Marie-Josèphe, married in 1747 the Dauphin of France, wire of Louis XV. It is the mother of Louis XVI, Louis XVIII and Charles X.

He was last king de Pologne of the House of Saxony (Wettin).
