Auguste Havez

Auguste Havez , born in 1897 with Carvin (Pas-de-Calais) and died in 1959 with Perpignan was a Communist leader, a trade unionist and Resistant.

Wire of a minor of Calonne-Ricouart, Auguste Havez who had been secretary of town hall in this locality adheres to the Communist party after the Congrès of Turns of December 1920. In 1927, Georges Marrane, mayor of Ivry, the recruiting with the service of civil statue of the town hall, names it manager of the service of the soup kitchens of the commune, and does of them one of the organizers of the 4th communist ray of the Paris region.

With the autumn 1939, after the dissolution of the party pronounced by Edouard Daladier, it is named regional boss in Brittany. After the occupation of France by the Germans, in June 40, it is of all the regional bosses that which prints with the press and the communist leaflets the tonality more antinazie. Member of the Central committee after the Release, then isolated of this organization, he becomes grocer and militates in his section of Vitry. He joined Auguste Lecoeur with the Socialist Nation and dies in 1959.
