Auguste Chambonnet

Auguste Leon Chambonnet is a Politician French. Born on May 6th, 1888 with Auzances (Digs), deceased on May 15th, 1974 with Aubusson.

Député (1936-1938) then Senator Radical-Socialiste (1938-1942) of the Digs.

Biography

It settles as veterinary surgeon with Aubusson after the First World War. Until in the Fifties it occupies various functions in the agricultural world. It is even teaching at the school of agriculture of Crocq then of Ahun during several years.

It enters in policy at the time of the municipal elections of 1929. It is elected city council man of Aubusson. The same year it enters to the General advice of Hollow under the label Radical-Socialiste.

After having wiped a reverse with the partial legislative election of 1931 vis-a-vis Camille Benassy (SFIO), he is elected Député the Hollow one (District of Aubusson) in 1936 as hostile a Radical-Socialiste candidate with the Popular front. With the Room it intervenes on the agricultural questions and the tapestry.

In 1938, he is elected Senator and seat with the group of the democratic Gauche. The by-election which is followed from there, allows Ernest Sourioux, nationalist near to the Country Face, to be elected appointed. July 10th, 1940 Auguste Chambonnet votes like his colleagues creusois the full powerss with Philippe Pétain.

It engages in 1941 in the resistance movement " Combat " of Henri Frenay. This engagement is worth to him to be stopped on January 9th 1944, after being wounded during a fixing, internee then off-set until April 1945.
