Auguste Bossu
Auguste Bossu (? - 1945) was a Architecte French first half of the 20th century which exerted mainly with Saint-Etienne. Its principal works are:
-
the two buildings Bizillon, located street Daguerre, famous Houses without staircase (1933 and 1940), 35 residences each one, in which the vertical distribution is done exclusively by means of a helicoid Rampe. Their name of origin comes from the cabaret known as " châlet Bizillon" present on the site as a preliminary. Their name in front of the posterity comes as for him from pragmatism from the inhabitants of Saint-Etienne.
- the Modern Building (1929).
Most of its achievements took form within the Société of the Buildings by Stage which it founded with the Clermont architect. This company proposed the Copropriété as a solution with the housing shortage of the Entre-deux-guerres.
The work of Uneven is ignored today, especially owing to the fact that its greater realization does not represent more than 40 residences.
