  • 1907 . Canada: After four years of construction, the Pont of Quebec crumbles in the Fleuve the St. Lawrence in hardly 15 seconds. 75 workers are killed.

  • 1920. France: the government forces on all the railroad companies to feed their lines electrified in D.C. current with the tension of 1500 V. the Compagnie of the South is forced to convert its lines already electrified into single-phase current 12 Kv 16 2/3 Hz, except for the line Perpignan - Villefranche whose single-phase food will be abandoned the May 23rd 1971. It will be réélectrifiée in 1,5 Kv continuous in 1984.
