Augite

A augite is a Minéral of the family of the Pyroxène S. It acts of a Clinopyroxène ferromagnésien and calcic.

Layers

Augite is very widespread in the basic eruptive rocks: Gabbro S, Basalt S, Andesite S… The mineral also appears in the metamorphic rocks of relatively high temperature, like the Granulite S Mafique S.
