Auf Achse

(in French on the road ) is a Board game created by Wolfgang Kramer in 1984 and published by F.X. Schmid.

For 2 to 6 players, as from 8 years, for approximately 1 to 2 a.m.

General principle

The players interpret truck drivers who must most intelligently transport possible their goods through the Central Europe. It is necessary for that to use in an optimal way the routes, the capacity of the trucks, and to negotiate the prices skilfully by taking account of competition, all that to honor its contracts. Various events can also come to spice the play. The goal is to make the most profit.

Rules of the game

Goal of the play

To make the most profit during the part.

Material

The box contains a plan of play, 6 pawns in the shape of truck, 48 goods, 52 charts of order, 31 charts of events, a Dé, a marker of building site, a marker of congestion.

Installation

Each player places his truck on a box of the plate (except city). Then, it receives 5000 Deutsche Mark S and 3 contracts which are clean for him (private contracts). Public contracts are also available. The players play each one in their turn in the direction of the needles of a watch.

Unfolding

With each turn, each player advances his truck by throwing a die. He can try to reach boxes corresponding to the loading or unloading of his contracts, and thus to operate his goods. Certain boxes start events. With the stop in a city, a player can also dclencher a phase of bidding for the public contracts, for thus increasing his incomes.

End of part and winner

The part finishes when there is no more public contract and that a player at least honoured all his private contracts. Gaining is that which earned the most money. The contracts still in progress at the end of the play do not bring back anything.

Reward

External bonds
