Audubon national company

The National company Audubon (or National Audubon Society ) is an environmental organization American E non-profit-making the purpose of which is the conservation of the environment. Founded in 1905, it is baptized in the honor of the ornithologist and American naturalist John James Audubon (1785-1851) which many worked on the Oiseau X North America.

The company publishes a magazine illustrated, Audubon , on nature. It has many local antennas which is devoted to the observation of the birds and environmental protection. It also coordinates the Christmas Bird Count with the the United States of America.

Its principal offices are located at New York and Washington. The company also has centers open to the public like refuges for the birds or other natural reserves (like the Paul J. Rainey Wildlife Sanctuary, of a surface of more than 100 km ² in Louisiana). One of its main objectives is the training of the public to the observation of the birds and the protection of the birds.
