Audrey Flack

Audrey Flack (born in 1931 with New York) is a painter and American sculptrice . It is, with its junior Vija Celmins, representing it female principal current hyperrealist.

After having studied the Art schools in its birthplace (of 1948 with 1953), Flack joint quickly with the New realism, then in Hyperréalisme, having been born from the opposition to the increasingly hermetic tendencies of the Abstraction.

Its “female” pallet voluntarily (of the colors Pastel: pink, yellow and blue sky) and its topics (initially) ironically Kitsch exerted a certain influence on Jeff Koons.
