Audioprothesist

A audioprothesist is that which practice the correction of deficiencies of the auditive function by devices Mécanique S and electroacoustic S temporary with these deficiencies (Audioprothèse).

The correction of the Hearing, known as “auditive equipment”, includes/understands the choice, the adaptation, the control of immediate effectiveness and the delivery of the hearing aid, the prosthetic education of defective of the Ouïe. This education includes/understands in particular the human accompaniment and the psychological support of the deaf patient. The audioprothesist also engages with a permanent control of the effectiveness of the hearing aid thus delivered.

Attributions of the audioprothesist extend to protection from the harmful effects from origin Acoustique and to protection from the auditive function against the effects of the Bruit, with the means, for example, of auditive Protections. It helps also the defective people to be connected to various media: telephone, television, etc

Training of the audioprothesists:

The diploma for the occupation of audioprothesist in France is a BAC+3. There exist 5 schools preparing with this diploma: Paris, Lyon, Montpellier, Nancy, Ferns. The entry in these schools is conditioned by the success with the contests.
