Geography
Audincourt, city of the East of the France, fourth city of the Doubs (Besancon, Montbeliard, Pontarlier). Audincourt belongs to the Communauté of agglomeration of the Country of Montbeliard and constitutes with it the core of this Agglomération. Indeed Montbeliard and Audincourt are with the head of an agglomeration of more than 125.000 inhabitants and with the city close to Belfort located at one 20 km of the agglomeration, they form the first demographic and economic basin of the area: The urban Surface Belfort Montbeliard (300 000 inhabitants).

- the college, which bears the name of the naturalist Jean Bauhin, was renovated during work undertaken in November 2004 and completed on October 26th, 2007. It is located in Zone of priority education. Manpower with the sunken 2007 are of 489 pupils.
Places and monuments
- the Church of the Sacred Heart date of 1951 and is equipped with a modern architecture. It was conceived by the Prenel abbot with the assistance of its faithful. Jean Bazaine carried out there the fresco of the entry and the baptistry and Fernand Leger the tapestry of the furnace bridge and the 17 stained glasses of the nave.
- the Église Notre-Dame of the Immaculate Conception is one of the first churches built out of reinforced concrete of France. Built in 1932 according to the plans of the monk architect Dom Paul Bellot (1876 - 1943), it shelters luminous stained glasses carried out by Valentine Reyre, creating plays of shade and light.
- the Peugeot castle lodges today the Regional center of awakening to the visual arts and the cartoon.
- the Thévenot castle is one of the beautiful residences to have survived the Révolution. It shelters a library today.
