Audentius
Audentius (in Spanish Audencio ) was bishop of Tolède towards 385-395.
According to Gennadius of Marseilles, in its Of viris illustribus (480), certain Audentius - probably that one - is the author of the Of fide adversus haereticos , a work now lost, in which the Manichéisme, the Sabellianisme and the Arianisme are attacked and condemned. Audentius defends a thesis according to which the Son, second nobody of the Holy Trinity, is coéternel with the Father.
Audentius is also quoted in the Of scriptoribus ecclesiasticis of Johannes Trithemius like “a man of genius in the study of the Holy Scriptures”.
