Audacity
Audacity is a Free software for the handling of data digital audios. Audacity allows to record numerical by the means of the entries line/micro sound Cd of the charts sounds. It makes it possible to publish (to copy, stick, divide,…) sounds on several tracks, and it is accompanied by various filters and effects: pitch, tempo, reduction of noise, equalisor, filters of Fourier, increase in precise frequencies, Compression, amplification, standardization, echo, phaser, wahwah, inversion…
The author of Audacity, in the beginning, is Dominic Mazzoni, an engineer of NASA and currently of Google. On the whole a score of developers and about thirty translators take part or took part in this project.
The Audacity software is regularly improved and supplemented, it is today an credible alternative with many editors of its amateur or semi-professionals like fire “sound edict” (Macromedia).

- in import and export: files WAV, AIFF, WITH and Ogg Vorbis
- in import and export: all files accepted by libsndfile (external cf bonds)
- in importation: MPEG audio (of which mp3) with libmad (external cf bonds)
- in export: the mp3 with the library Blade (external cf bonds)
