Aubergenville
Aubergenville is a common French of the department of the Yvelines, in the area Île-de-France, located along the the Mantes-the-Pretty Seine at 41 km at the west of Paris and 13 km at the east of .
Its inhabitants is called Aubergenvillois.
Geography
The commune of Aubergenville extends to the south from the Seine. Its center is at hillside, with the old borough as well as a ZAC ( Reach development concerted )dating from the years 1970, built in the field of old the Castle of Acosta and composed of many buildings of social housing. Today growing old, become ultra-sensitive, the zone is named by its young inhabitants “the red city brick”.
The urbanization largely extended on the one hand towards the Seine with the station, of the zones of activities and the garden city of Élisabethville, and on the other hand towards the plate which is in extreme cases northern of the plain of Versailles, where were more recently established the swimming pool (closed in 2004) and the Vincent Van Gogh college.
A hamlet is with the variation, Are worth-the-Huguenots, in a hollow turned towards the valley of the Mauldre
The communes bordering are the Flins-on-Seine in the east, Épône and Nézel in the west and Bazemont in the south. In north, the Seine separates Aubergenville from Juziers.
The transportation routes are concentrated in the low valley with the departmental n° 113, the Autoroute of Normandy (has 13) and the Paris-Rouen railway, without forgetting the the navigable Seine.
History
The foundation of the borough of Aubergenville goes back to the 11th century. It was then an autonomous seigniory, stronghold of Pierre d' Aubergenville since 1065.
In 1843, the Gare (currently called Aubergenville-Élisabethville) is built on the line Paris-Saint-Lazare - Rouen.
In 1921, the garden city of Élisabethville is created along the Seine in the field of Garenne. Part of this new city extends on the common neighbor from Épône.
In 1952, the establishment of the factory Renault of Flins, located mainly in the territory of the commune of Aubergenville, gives a decisive dash to the urban development.

Saint-Ouen Church: located at the center of the old borough, its construction goes back to XIIe century. The massive bell-tower of square section dates from XIVe century. It was covered with slates in 1766.
- Church Holy-Therese-in-the Child-Jesus: located at Élisabethville, it was built in 1927 by the architect Paul Tournon. It, after Notre-Dame of Raincy, one of the first churches in Béton is built in France. The visible sculptures on the frontage were carried out in the freshly-mixed concrete. It are the work of the sculptor Carlo Sarrabezolles. The building is classified with the inventory of the historic buildings.

- Temple protesting with the hamlet of Be worth-the-Huguenots.
