The site of Aubagne is in the valley of the Huveaune, triangular marshy plain, whose tops point towards Aix-en-Provence in north, Toulon in the east, and Marseilles in the west. The city is bordered by the Massif of Garlaban, the buttresses of the Holy-Balsam, and with the south by the Massif of Douard prolonged by the mounts of Carpiagne towards the west. Its assets rise from its situation of crossroads of these 3 agglomerations. However, the many hills and other small butt which strew its territory make of them natural obstacles which tend to partition space. This city has also the characteristic to have been the first town of France to being completely surrounded by Autoroutes.
