Attic-Montgon

Attic-Montgon is a common French, located in the department of the Haute-Loire and the area Auvergne.

Geography

The commune of Attic-Montgon owes its name to two of its principal villages: Attic, seat of the commune, and Montgon. The two villages are located in the valley of the Violette, not far from its joining the Alagnon. The mounts of the Cézallier and the Margeride overhang the place.

The village is located in the department of the Haute-Loire but it is very related to the town of Massiac (Cantal) of which it is separate only of three kilometers.

With height of the village of Montgon, the highway A75 spans vallé of the Violet by a viaduct with the considerable proportions: the Viaduct of the Violet.
