Atomic Runner
Atomic Runner (or Atomic Runner Chelnov , or Atomic Runner Chelnov - Nuclear Man, The Fighter ; Atomic Runner Chelnov - Tatakau Ningen Hatsudensho with the Japan) is a Shoot them up, developed and published by Data East on Borne from arcade in 1988. The play was carried in 1992 on Megadrive and in 1993 on Sharp X68000.
Gameplay
The player directs a character who can jump extremely high, and for which the management of the handiness is diverting: indeed, it can only run, and that throughout the play, because of a constant horizontal scrolling. So the difficulty of the play is seen some largely increased, implying a perfect knowledge of the ground and an attention of every moment, to avoid going to throw itself in the claws of the soldiers assassins launched to the continuation of the player, or against a barrier of whirling blades… Certain zones are of this fact particularly difficult, without counting that the character does not have any bar of energy, or unspecified endurance: the least contact with an enemy, a dangerous element of the decoration, or the simple fact of being made “block” by the scrolling, and it is immediate death. Fortunately, some “power-ups” is available throughout the play: certain capsules increase the fire power thus, or give access to new more adapted weapons.
