Atlan

Atlan is a character of fiction which appears for the first time in the series of Science-fiction Perry Rhodan (number 22). This immortal Arkonide quickly takes a great importance in the series Perry Rhodan .

A few years later, a new series called Atlan appears. She tells the history of this character while starting with the death of her father as well as her combat for found her place lost within the Empire Arkonide. In France exist 12 pounds but as the series Perry Rhodan it is only one negligible part of the Atlan collection.

Description

Atlan was born the 35 prago from Dryhan 10.479 da Ark (according to the calendar Arkonide) that is to say front on October 9th, 8045 J-C according to the temporal standard land. It is thin and of big size with hair fair. Its eyes are colors Topaze. It has a eidetic Mémoire as well as a brain second. His/her father is the emperor Gnozal VII, and belongs to the imperial family of Gnozal. The Immortal one gave him, during its fight against Droufs, a cellular activator.

Atlan is ordering 132° imperial squadron, then in 2044 it reigns under the name of Gnozal VIII on the Great Empire and finally it becomes Lord admiral of the O.M.U into 2115.

History

  • 8000 av- J.C at 2040 (Youth of Atlan until the knowledge of Perry Rhodan)

The emperor of Arkonis is killed at the time of a shooting party by his Orbanashol brother. Betrayed by his brother the father (Gnozal VII) of Atlan makes promise in Fartuloon of protected his son. Become orphan, Atlan was raised by Fartuloon, and it ended up forgetting which was his/her true father.

Several years later he discovers that he is the legitimate heir to the emperor Gnozal VII, assassinated several years before by the current sovereign, Orbanashol. Fartuloon enabled him to climb the levels of Ark Summia and to manage to activate its brain-second with an aim which it can take again his throne. Atlan launches out then in the fight to reverse the usurper and to avenge his father.

He was victorious of 27 victory during the war against Maahks (or Methanes). Later, following a mysterious phenomenon in the system of Larsaf III (the Ground), it falls on Droufs which threatens this system. Deducing that this hostile presence is dangerous it engages a keen fight. Droufs destroy the continent Atlantis like its fleet, then it is obliged to remain on Larsaf III during ten thousand years without having the possibility of returning to Arkonis. Atlan decides to wait the moment or humanity will be able to use the space flight, and until this moment, he sleeps in a dome at the bottom of the Atlantique.

Gnozal III (an ancestor of Atlan ) is at the origin of the project of the creation of the synchronous system of Arkonis (where system of Three-planets).

During millenia Atlan multiplies its periods of alarm clock with an aim of knowing the technological level of the Ground. But here, whereas it was deadened in 1971 at the dawn of a nuclear war, it sees with horror that the Ground know the space flight perfectly, when it awakes at 2040. It then tries to steal a vessel but Perry Rhodan succeeded in stopping it, nevertheless it flees and takes Perry Rhodan as an hostage. After a fight baited between the two humanoïdes, they end up fraternizing and become friendly.

Atlan becomes Empereur of Arkonis after having overcome the Regent, who reigns in 2040 on the Great Empire of Arkonis. But the Arkonide S degenerated during the absence of Atlan. It can retain the Empire only quarante-vingt years. In 2115, he resigns of his title of Emperor and becomes " Lord amiral" O.M.U ( the Organization of the Plain Worlds ), which is an organization founded by itself. Thanks to this new title, Atlan assistance Perry Rhodan in these multiple adventures.
