Atia Balba Caesonia
Atia Balba Caesonia (- 85, -43 front J. - C.), or simply Atia was the girl of Marcus Atius Balbus (105 av. J; C. with 51 av. J.C) and of Julia Caesaris, the sister of Jules César.
Attia was the wife of Gaius Octavius governor of Macedonia and Roman senator . They had two children, a girl of the younger name of Octavie and wire of the name of Octave, which will become the first Roman Emperor. In 59 av. J.C, Gaius Octavius died whereas it took the way of Rome to become Consul.
Atia Maria one second time with Lucius Marcius Philippus, consul in the year 56 av. J.C and burning defender of Jules César. It arranged the marriage of his Octavie daughter-in-law with Gaius Claudius Marcellus Minor, senator and future consul. Atia was a Matrone religious and careful, Tacite placed it among the ideal Roman matrons.
It had doubts about the legitimacy of her son Octave with being the heir to Jules César, and it tried to dissuade it to accept its heritage. She died during the first consulate of her son in 43 av. J.C. Octave returned to him the honors most important at the time of its burial. Philippus will marry one of his/her sisters later.
