Athrun Zala

Athrun (in English, Asran in the version Japanese E) Zala is a character resulting from the televised series Japan eases Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny.

He is the son of Patrick and Léonore Zala. His/her father is the president of the Armed forces of the Zodiac Alliance off Freedom Treaty (ZAFT), sitting at the High council of SEEDLING, as a commander of ZAFT, then as a President of the High council. Athrun is promised in marriage to Lacus Clyne, a popular singer girl of the President of ZAFT, for political reasons. Asran is a coordinator and a friend of childhood of Kira Yamato, with which it was at the school on the the Moon. At the 13 years age, Asran must move for SEEDLING because the rumors of a nearest war multiply and the father of Asran, which worries for its family, their request to join it.

Asran and Kira are torn by this departure, and Asran offers Tori (or Birdy) to Kira Yamato, symbol of their friendship and their collaboration in mechanics. Asran thinks that never a war will not burst between the two nations and hopes that Kira will join it on SEEDLING.
