Athlon 64 X2
The Athlon X2 is the first Microprocesseur dual-core AMD (double core).
Launched the April 21st 2005 by AMD, it quite simply acts of two Athlon 64 on same a die and being able to communicate together on line by the controller HyperTransport given rhythm to 1 GHz. Athlon X2 support all software optimizations for the Hyperthreading of Intel and are based on K8 architecture.
It consists of a dual-core Athlon 64 (dual-core). That means that there are two processors in only one, each heart having its clean mask of level 1 and 2. The processors " dual-core" behave in a similar way a platform with 2 processors.
It is available for the Socket 939 and new the Socket AM2 (supporting the Mémoire RAM DDR2).
