Athens News Agency

The Athens News Agency is one of the 2 principal news agencies in Greece (the other being the Macedonian Close Agency). It was founded in 1895 and became public limit company in 1994. It has cooperation agreements with several other news agencies world (Reuters, Agence France-Press, inter alia). It employs 250 people, including 180 journalists, and has offices and correspondents in several cities throughout the world.
