Atheist
Atheist is a group of Death metal originating in Florida. Their music, highly technical, is a mixture between brutal fronts and Latin arrangements, a little in the spirit of the album worship of Cynic, Focus .
They record their first album, Piece off Time in 1988 but must wait until in 1992 so that it is published. In 1991, the bass player, Roger Patterson, dies in an car accident and Atheist recruits Tony Choy for the recording of the second album, Unquestionnable Presence. Atheist separates first once in 1992, the group meets in 1993 and records Elements before separating for the second time. In 2006, they decided to be reformed to make some dates in Europe of which open Wacken air festival.
Kelly Schaefer played in Neurotica until in 2002. Tony Choy played in many other groups of which Pestilence and Cynic.
