Atalante Migliorotti

Atalante Migliorotti (1466 - 1532) was a musician of the Renaissance, assistant of Léonard de Vinci in the workshop of this last.

It was born from an illegitimate relation. After having been raises of Léonard who taught the music to him, it left in 1483 to Milan to accompany its Master. This same year, Vinci painted its portrait, probably lost today.

In 1491, in accordance with the wishes of Isabella d' Este, it sang the left éponyme the opera Orfeo presented to Marmirolo. At this period, it started to be recognized as a Luthier.

In 1493, Isabella d' Este ordered at his place a Guitare then in 1505, it wrote, in a message intended for the Marquis of Mantoue, which it had built a quadrant with twelve cords.

It was also employed like coordinator the work of construction of the Basilique Saint-Pierre.
